Thank you for your continued prayers. God blessed our first youth meeting. Two churches joined ours for a time of fellowship, food, games, singing and preaching. I have been particularly burdened to expose our young people to other quality young people, to give them a sense of what "Christian youth" are like and to preach to them against living a double life. I was able to do all this at the youth meeting.

They told me afterward that they loved the meeting and wonder why we don't do one every month. 

Please pray for these young people:

1. Edmilson - Our only boy, but he just left this Sunday for Bahia (another state in Brazil). I was trying to get to know him better, and then suddenly he wanted to move up north. He is fifteen, was living here with his aunt, but has now returned to his mother and grandmother. I have no real confidence of his salvation, but he was willing to help wherever I asked him. I do hope his path crosses a good church there.
2. Giovana - This 15-year-old gal helps me a lot in the services, but has a job at the bread store now. This has taken her out of all church services. She was in church this Sunday--the first time in a month and a half.
3. Julianna - She's 13. She attends almost every service, helps me on Saturdays, and all around has a pleasant attitude. She, however, does not want to get baptized because she thinks it is strange. Her parents believe in reincarnation.
4. Jéssyca - This girl has really shown many signs of spiritual growth in these few short months. She is a very outspoken person--a lot like a female Peter. She has yet to be baptized, but has worked on improving various aspects of her life. She is 17.
5. Rachel - Faithfully attends Sunday morning services with her mother. She goes to a private school and is in my English class. She has a sweet spirit, but frankly told me she would rather sin than get baptized. You would have to know her to understand how she could have such contrasting attitudes. She is 15 and always raises her hand to state she doubts her salvation. Recently we discussed creation and evolution, and she tells me that evolution "makes sense."
6. Suzanne - This 13-year-old was just baptized! She has really shown a thoughtfulness that has given her a good grasp of what I teach and preach. She is encouraging her whole family to more faithfully attend church. She has been an encouragement to the whole church.
7. Stella - She's only 10, but I include her in this group because she is Suzanne's sister and wants to participate in everything with her. She also wants to be baptized, so I have been trying to determine better what she understands.
