This has been a blessed and busy time.
1. Conference
My family and I just returned from the city of Limeira, about 2 1/2 hours from São Paulo. The church there held a Family Conference. I was asked to speak twice. My first message was "The True Dangers of the Internet." I emphasized that the real problem these days is how people use the Internet. The Internet is a tremendous tool, but is just as powerful in the hands of the devil, and if we are not careful, it can destroy us.
The second message was...

Thank the Lord for my parents! They came and stayed with us throughout the Thanksgiving time, and my dad worked hard to take a good family photo for us. We have been waiting a long time to get a good shot. If you would like to download a copy, use the following link.

I am the head of a Christian home. We daily read God's Word together and pray. We seek to manifest a Christian work ethic, attend church whenever the doors are open and witness to those around us. This does not guarantee that every member in the family, however, is truly converted. In fact, seeing as there are six of us, and salvation does not come just by being born in a Christian home, then I can only say credibly that 33% of my family is converted--that would be my wife and I. Our four precious children are an integral part of this home, but none is born automatically Christian. Recently, God used this fact to work on my heart, and to realize just how extremely responsible I am to be an evangelistic father. My children need Christ, and while I am seeking to "evangelize Brazil", I need to take care of my own "field" more than any other.
Last evening, was a culmination of prayers and evangelistic work with my daughter, Selina. I have been...

Current Weather Conditions
Curious about our weather in Brazil? The seasons are reversed from the Northern Hemisphere and generally fall into two categories, wet and dry. We started our ministry in São Paulo where the temperature can get quite cold considering the average home has no heater. Up north, however, in Porto Velho (where our long-term ministry will really take off), the temperature gets very hot. The above animation shows current weather conditions in both cities. If you want to watch a short weather video in Portuguese for either city, simply click on the words above that read "Assista a previsão."
